Trump signed two executive orders today. One authorizing the construction of a U.S.-Mexico border wall and another order targeting sanctuary cities. One of Trump’s biggest promises during his campaign was to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
Trump still maintains that Mexico will pay for the wall.
The second executive order will prevent illegal immigration by restoring the Secure Communities program.
Trump directed the State Department to use its power to ensure illegal immigrant criminals are taken back by their home country in his second executive order. The second executive order will also prevent federal grant money from being allocated to sanctuary cities.
